Print and bind many labels

Labelling a whole garage one container at a time is slow. Instead, print a batch of blank labels first, stick one on each box, and bind them afterwards by scanning each sticker and saying which box it is on.

On the Scan tab tap Print labels.

Format Output Notes
A4 sheet A PDF with 21 labels per page (3 × 7, 63.5 × 38.1 mm), 1 to 10 pages Matches Avery L7160 sheets. On plain paper, turn on Cut lines. Print at 100% (“actual size”), not “fit to page”.
Niimbot One image per label (400 × 240 dots at 203 dpi, for 50 × 30 mm labels), or a PDF with one label per page For the Niimbot B1. Share the images to the Niimbot app.

Each label shows the QR and a short code (such as A45E B869) so you can match a sticker by eye. Earlier batches are listed with how many labels are bound; you can Reprint or Remove them. Reprinting gives the same labels, so a second copy of a sticker opens the same container.

Put one on each box. Nothing is bound yet: the codes are just random IDs.

On the Scan tab tap Bind many labels, then Start scanning.

  1. Scan a sticker. You feel a tap and a list of boxes opens.
  2. Tap the box it is on. A box that has places inside it opens when tapped (it shows a ›). Inside, Label “…” itself binds the place you are in. You can also search by name.
  3. The camera comes straight back for the next sticker, with a confirmation.

Good to know:

  • The list opens where you last bound, and lists boxes without a label first.
  • Pull down on the list to check the server for boxes you just added. It also refreshes by itself when it is a few minutes old.
  • A sticker that is already bound is reported and never silently rebound.
  • Undo last takes back the most recent bind. Skip this sticker leaves it unassigned.
  • When you tap Done, you get a list of what you labelled this session.
