Support

Short answers to the things people hit first. Full documentation is coming.

Getting started

  1. Open Sources and tap +. Choose Homebox or InvenTree, enter the server address, and sign in with an API key (or a username and password).
  2. UniBox reads your containers and items. When it is done the source shows Connected.
  3. Open a container and tap Create physical label. Print or share the label and stick it on the box.
  4. Scan the label from the Scan tab, or search for an item and tap Find to spot its box.

Troubleshooting

You seeWhat to try
“Can't reach the server”Check the address and that your phone can reach it (same Wi-Fi for a home server). Plain http:// addresses on your local network are allowed. UniBox keeps showing saved data meanwhile.
“The server rejected those credentials”The key or password is wrong, or has been deleted on the server. Create a new API key and use Edit connection on the source.
“Your sign-in has expired”Open the source and choose Sign in again. Your labels and saved data stay attached.
“That doesn't look like a supported server”The address may be missing a port, or it is not a Homebox or InvenTree server.
The server is “older than the supported” versionUpdate Homebox to 0.26 or newer.
“Camera access is off”Allow the camera for UniBox in your phone's Settings, or type the label code by hand on the Scan tab.
“Unlinked inventory label”This label is not linked on this phone yet. Tap Link this label and choose its container.
“Container no longer exists”The box was deleted on your server. Link the label to another container, or remove it.
An item does not show up in search offlineOnly items stored in a container are saved on the phone. Items with no container appear when the server is reachable.
